Dyan Kozaczka

Dyan Kozaczka is an associate at Rutkin, Oldham & Griffin. She represents individuals in all areas of family law, including divorce, alimony, child support, property division, child custody, mediation and post-judgment modifications and contempt. Dyan has extensive experience working on highly complex and sophisticated cases and collaborating with forensic accountants, appraisers and other experts on such cases.

She is admitted to practice in Connecticut, Massachusetts and the U.S. District Court, in the Districts of Connecticut, Massachusetts and Vermont. Dyan received a “40 Under 40” award by the Fairfield County Business Journal in 2016, and was recognized by “Connecticut Super Lawyers” as a “Rising Star” in 2014 and 2015. She has published articles on trends in the legal field, including alimony litigation. Dyan previously served on the Future Leaders Executive Committee of the Connecticut Mortgage Bankers Association and was also an appointed member of the Network of Executive Women.

Dyan received her B.A. from Boston College in 2005 and her J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2008, where she served on the Domestic Violence Awareness Coalition and was vice president of Courtroom Activities at the University. While at law school, she attended a summer program at Trinity College School of Law on International Human Rights and Irish Constitutional Theory. Dyan completed a 40-hour Divorce Mediation Training course from The Center of Mediation and Training in 2010.

Prior to joining Rutkin, Oldham & Griffin and devoting her practice solely to family law, she most recently worked at the Connecticut-based law firm of Cohen and Wolf, P.C., where she gained important trial experience through her work in commercial litigation and family law. Dyan also served, following law school, as a law clerk to the Honorable Stephen F. Frazzini of the Connecticut Superior Court, where she researched matrimonial legal issues and drafted memorandums of decisions in complex divorce and custody disputes.

Active in the community, Dyan is a volunteer in Special Olympics of Connecticut, where she often serves as a Unified Sports Partner. She also regularly volunteers with Habitat for Humanity.
